Born in Italy in 1972, she studied at Wimbledon School of Art and lives and works in London.

Persico has exhibited extensively both in the UK and abroad. She was a Sovereign European Art Prize finalist in 2011 and a recipient of Arts Council of England funding to curate the exhibition The near and the elsewhere in 2012, as well as for the creation of her installation Closed Circuits in 2010, in the same venue. Additionally she was commissioned by Blueprint Magazine to produce a drawing for the publication’s Paper City series and she was awarded the first prize in the Oriel Davies Open in 2008.

Recent shows include DOCVA archives at MAXXI, Museum of XXI Arts in Rome; The near and the elsewhere at PM Gallery and House, London; The 14th Japan Media Art Festival at National Art Center in Tokyo; Paper City: Urban Utopias at Royal Academy of Arts and The Jerwood Drawing Prize at Jerwood Space, both in London. She has also exhibited at Contemporary Art Society, Gasworks, Fieldgate Gallery and fa projects in London; g39 and Oriel Myrddin Gallery in Wales; East International in Norwich; Festival for the Arts and Media in Yokohama in Japan; Dutch Kills Gallery in New York; Kadirga Kültür Merkezi in Istanbul; Municipal Museum of Wroclaw in Poland and Kuntsverein Zu Frechen E.V. in Germany
